I’m pretty stoked right now! I just got a handwritten letter from the national president of my fraternity. For the past few months/years, I assumed only 2nd graders learning cursive handwrote anything. Even my cousins in junior high type everything for school. Its sad that something as simple as handwritting is soon to be a dying art. Since cell phones came along and text messaging became mainstream, our communication methods get more compact. First emails, then blogs, and most recently 140 characters or less for Twitter. Will technology be our ultimate downfall? I remember fighting with my mom when she made me take typing in high school. Why the hell would I need typing class? I wanted to take Latin to expand vocabulary or debate to increase or oratory skills, but she forced typing. Since my dad was a computer programmer, they won the argument and I took typing. It was the only time EVER they got involved in my class scheduling. I guess parents have a better grasp of the future than us kids will ever know. Good night!
