Because of my own stupidity my night didn’t turn out as planned, but closing out Good Friday watching Dogma. Is that sacreligious?
I had a concert with the symphony tonight which I wasn’t too excited about. I half-assed my way through it. I worked my ass off on this concert and nobody I knew could go see it. I hate doing a concert when nobody can see it because the hours upon hours of preparation go un-noticed by anyone who can give me a positive or negative critique.
After the concert, I was going to meet friends at Pat O’Briens.. but dip shit me forgot my walled. They’re sticklers for not letting anyone in with an ID. So I had to come home. I’ve been in rehearsals or concerts for the past 9 days… work was kicking my ass.. I needed a fuckin drink. And in San Antonio, what’s better than a hurricane?
Maybe it’s God’s way of saying I’m not supposed to go out on Good Friday? So, I made popcorn, made my own drink (bourbon & coke) and going to watch Dogma. Not that I’m trying to piss God off, but because I need the good laugh, and I enjoy the biblical research that went into the awesome Jay & Silent Bob movie!
